DRINKING WATER TREATMENT LEAD | International
THE ROLE
Stetson Global is seeking qualified candidates for an exciting opportunity as a Drinking Water Treatment Lead supporting global infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for experienced water treatment professionals who enjoy hands-on operations, technical problem solving, and leading teams in complex environments.
This position supports the installation, operation, maintenance, and optimization of drinking water treatment systems worldwide. Candidates can be based anywhere in the United States near a major airport and will travel extensively to domestic and international project locations. All travel expenses are paid.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Water treatment operations: Lead operation, monitoring, and maintenance of drinking water treatment systems and equipment
System performance: Monitor water quality, treatment processes, and equipment performance to ensure safe and reliable operations
Technical troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues involving pumps, filtration systems, chemical treatment, controls, and related equipment
Team leadership: Provide technical guidance, training, and oversight to operators, technicians, contractors, and project teams
Testing & compliance: Support water sampling, testing, documentation, and compliance with applicable quality and safety standards
Process improvement: Identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and treatment system performance
Project support: Assist with installation, commissioning, startup, upgrades, and operational readiness activities
Documentation: Maintain accurate operating procedures, maintenance records, reports, and compliance documentation
Safety: Promote safe work practices and ensure adherence to operational procedures and industry standards
Global support: Travel extensively to support water treatment projects worldwide
WHAT YOU BRING
5+ years of drinking water treatment, utilities, environmental operations, or related infrastructure experience
Strong understanding of water treatment processes including filtration, disinfection, pumps, chemical systems, and controls
Experience operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting water treatment equipment
Knowledge of water quality testing, regulatory requirements, and operational best practices
Experience leading technicians, operators, contractors, or field teams preferred
Ability to read technical drawings, equipment manuals, and operational documentation
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams
International project experience and foreign language skills are a plus
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence
Ability and willingness to travel extensively, including international assignments
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of water treatment, utility operations, or related technical experience
Experience with drinking water treatment systems and equipment
Strong troubleshooting and leadership skills
Ability to travel extensively
Valid ability to work in the United States
