HVAC BUILDING TECHNICIAN | <br/> Philadelphia, PA
THE ROLE
Keep a major corporation's buildings running smoothly. You'll manage all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems—from HVAC units and chillers to emergency equipment and fire safety systems. This is hands-on work that directly impacts how hundreds of people experience their workplace every day.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Maintain core systems: HVAC units, chillers, boilers, pumps, cooling towers, and air distribution systems
Monitor operations: Adjust equipment, manage energy systems, and ensure comfortable building conditions
Preventive maintenance: Filter changes, coil cleaning, inspections, and routine upkeep per industry standards
Emergency response: Handle urgent issues—equipment failures, alarms, evacuations—with speed and professionalism
Safety & compliance: Conduct fire/life safety inspections, document all work, and ensure the building meets codes and regulations
General repairs: Fix plumbing fixtures, doors, ceilings, and other facility issues
WHAT YOU BRING
3–5+ years of hands-on experience with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems in commercial buildings
Valid EPA Universal CFC Refrigerant Handling License (required)
Trade licenses as applicable (Journeyman/Master Electrician, Refrigeration Certificate of Fitness, Boiler Operator License, etc.)
Valid driver's license with good driving record
Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word
Strong mechanical problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Flexibility, initiative, and ability to handle high-pressure situations
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED
Current relevant trade licenses/certifications
