THE ROLE

Stetson Global is seeking qualified candidates for an exciting opportunity as a Data Center Technician supporting global mission-critical infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for experienced Electrical or Mechanical Engineering professionals who thrive in fast-paced, travel-heavy environments and enjoy working on large-scale international projects.

This position supports the construction, commissioning, and operational readiness of data centers worldwide. Candidates can be based anywhere in the United States near a major airport and will travel extensively to project sites, both domestically and internationally. All travel expenses are paid, and the role offers exposure to cutting-edge data center and mission-critical environments with a highly respected global organization.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Commissioning support: Develop and implement commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules for mission-critical data center projects

  • System testing: Conduct testing and validation of electrical, mechanical, and IT systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and operational requirements

  • Project oversight: Support electrical and mechanical systems from design through implementation while ensuring alignment with project standards and operational goals

  • Documentation & reporting: Prepare detailed commissioning reports including testing results, deficiencies, corrective actions, and operational recommendations

  • Cross-functional coordination: Collaborate with design teams, construction personnel, operations groups, facilities teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution

  • Quality assurance: Verify that all systems are installed, tested, and functioning according to industry standards, specifications, and best practices

  • Troubleshooting: Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues that arise during installation, commissioning, and startup activities

  • Compliance & standards: Ensure projects comply with applicable codes, safety regulations, operational procedures, and industry standards

  • Training & support: Provide technical guidance, operational training, and support to facility operations teams on newly commissioned systems

  • International project support: Travel extensively to support domestic and international data center projects and mission-critical infrastructure initiatives

  • Technical communication: Deliver clear, concise technical guidance and maintain strong communication with stakeholders across multiple disciplines and locations

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical or mechanical engineering environments

  • Current experience supporting data center, mission-critical, or large infrastructure projects

  • Strong understanding of electrical and/or mechanical systems within critical facility environments

  • Experience supporting construction, commissioning, testing, and startup activities for technical infrastructure projects

  • Proficiency with engineering design and drafting software including AutoCAD and Revit

  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage responsibilities in highly dynamic and travel-intensive environments

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, contractors, and stakeholders

  • Experience working in travel-heavy roles strongly preferred

  • International project experience highly preferred

  • Foreign language skills including Spanish, Arabic, Filipino/Tagalog, Hindi/Urdu, French, or Portuguese are considered a strong plus

  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence

  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively, including international travel assignments

  • Enthusiasm for hands-on engineering work and global project environments

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

  • 5+ years of electrical or mechanical engineering experience

  • Experience working on data center or mission-critical projects

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar engineering design software

  • Strong communication and technical coordination skills

  • Ability to travel extensively, including international travel assignments

  • Valid ability to work in the United States
