THE ROLE

Stetson Global is partnering with a leading international infrastructure and technology company to hire multiple Data Center Technicians for opportunities throughout the United States and select international locations. In this role, you’ll support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and day-to-day operation of mission-critical data center infrastructure.

The Data Center Technician will work closely with engineering, operations, and facilities teams to ensure maximum uptime, reliability, and performance across electrical, mechanical, networking, and server environments. WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Infrastructure support: Assist with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of data center infrastructure including servers, racks, cabling, power systems, and cooling equipment

  • System monitoring: Monitor critical systems and respond to alarms, outages, and operational issues to help maintain maximum uptime and reliability

  • Preventative maintenance: Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and network-related equipment within the data center environment

  • Hardware support: Install, replace, test, and troubleshoot servers, switches, storage devices, power distribution units, and related hardware

  • Cabling & connectivity: Support structured cabling installations, cable management, connectivity testing, and network troubleshooting activities

  • Operational documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, incident reports, inventory, and daily operational logs

  • Vendor coordination: Work alongside vendors, contractors, and internal technical teams during maintenance, upgrades, and installation projects

  • Safety & compliance: Follow all company, customer, and industry safety standards and operational procedures within mission-critical environments

  • Remote site support: Travel to domestic and international data center locations as needed to support deployments, maintenance, and operational initiatives

  • Facility upkeep: Help maintain clean, organized, and secure data center environments while supporting operational best practices

  • Team collaboration: Work effectively with cross-functional engineering, facilities, and operations teams to support project and operational goals

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 2–5 years of hands-on technical experience in data center operations, IT infrastructure, or critical facilities environments

  • Experience working with servers, structured cabling, networking equipment, and hardware troubleshooting

  • Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and UPS systems within data center environments

  • Knowledge of data center operations, monitoring systems, and preventative maintenance procedures

  • Experience supporting mission-critical infrastructure with a strong focus on uptime and reliability

  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, rack layouts, schematics, and operational documentation

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced technical environments

  • Comfort working independently and as part of a team in high-availability operational settings

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Computer proficiency including experience with ticketing systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and operational reporting tools

  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including occasional nights, weekends, or on-call rotations as needed

  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as project needs require

  • Strong commitment to workplace safety, operational excellence, and customer service

  • Ability to lift and move equipment weighing 50+ pounds and work within active data center environments

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Technical certification, associate degree, or related technical training preferred

  • 2–5 years of relevant technical or data center experience

  • Basic understanding of servers, networking, and critical infrastructure systems

  • Experience with hardware installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required

  • Ability to work safely in mission-critical and physically demanding environments
