DATA CENTER FACILITIES ENGINEER | <br/> International
THE ROLE
Join a highly skilled mission-critical engineering team supporting the operation of global data center facilities. In this role, you’ll help ensure the continuous performance and reliability of critical electrical, mechanical, HVAC, monitoring, and alarm systems that support data center operations. You’ll work closely with internal engineering teams, technicians, vendors, and contractors to maintain uptime, manage preventative maintenance programs, and respond to operational issues across multiple facilities.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Preventative maintenance management: Manage preventative maintenance schedules and service agreements to ensure critical systems remain fully operational and compliant
Equipment support: Coordinate and oversee equipment repairs, installations, upgrades, and system changes across data center and office environments
Alarm & incident response: Respond to equipment alarms, operational issues, and system breakdowns in a timely and effective manner
System monitoring: Monitor electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and facility monitoring systems to verify proper operation and identify potential concerns
Vendor coordination: Work closely with contractors, vendors, and building engineering teams performing work within critical facility environments
Project support: Travel to remote offices and data center locations to assist with maintenance projects, system upgrades, and operational initiatives
MEP troubleshooting: Respond to daily mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) issues affecting data centers and office facilities
Operational standards: Help maintain quality and reliability by following and enforcing organizational and operational standards
Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with engineering teams, technicians, and facility stakeholders to support overall infrastructure reliability and performance
Additional support: Perform other related operational and facility engineering duties as assigned
WHAT YOU BRING
2–4 years of hands-on technical or facilities engineering experience
Hands-on experience working within data center environments
Experience maintaining Power Distribution Systems and related electrical infrastructure
Experience supporting UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems and backup power operations
Working knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled water systems, and common mechanical infrastructure
Basic understanding of Fire Alarm Systems, Building Automation Systems (BAS), monitoring systems, and related controls
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in mission-critical environments
Ability to prioritize tasks and respond effectively in high-pressure operational situations
Strong communication and coordination skills when working with vendors, contractors, and internal teams
Willingness to travel to remote offices and facilities as needed
Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to operational reliability and quality standards
Collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively across technical and operational teams
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
2–4 years of hands-on technical experience in facilities or data center operations
Experience working in data center environments
Experience supporting electrical and mechanical infrastructure systems
Knowledge of Power Distribution Systems, UPS systems, and HVAC equipment
Basic understanding of Fire Alarm Systems, Monitoring Systems, and BAS controls
Ability to travel as needed to support remote offices and maintenance projects
