INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN | <br/> St. Louis, MO

THE ROLE

Bring technology and connectivity to life for our customers. You'll travel to homes and businesses to install, configure, and maintain computer and electrical equipment—from networked systems and audio-visual setups to power infrastructure. Your work directly enables customers to work efficiently and stay connected, making you an essential part of their operations.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Equipment installation: Install and set up computers, networking equipment, audio-visual systems, televisions, projectors, routers, and other electronic devices in customer environments

  • System configuration: Connect equipment, test all connections, configure network settings, and ensure systems function properly before handoff to customers

  • Troubleshooting & repair: Diagnose problems with existing equipment, identify root causes, and execute repairs on-site to minimize customer downtime

  • Site assessment & planning: Evaluate customer locations, recommend optimal equipment placement, plan cable routing and power solutions, and ensure professional, clean installations

  • Customer support: Provide clear verbal and written instructions on equipment operation and maintenance, answer questions, and ensure customer confidence in their new systems

  • Preventive maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on installed equipment, update systems, and help customers understand care requirements

  • Documentation & logistics: Record installation details, maintain inventory levels, prepare work orders, and ensure all paperwork is accurate and complete

  • Vehicle & tools management: Maintain your work vehicle, keep tools organized and in good condition, and ensure you're ready for the next job

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in electronics, information technology, or a related field

  • 3+ years of proven experience as an installation technician or in a similar technical role

  • Advanced knowledge of modern electrical and computer equipment, networking systems, and audio-visual technology

  • Strong mechanical and electrical problem-solving abilities with the capacity to diagnose and repair complex issues in the field

  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical customers

  • Physical capability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, crouch and kneel for extended periods, and lift heavy objects safely

  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record and reliable transportation

  • Proficiency with basic computer software and technical documentation

  • Initiative, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction

  • Ability to work independently and manage your time efficiently across multiple customer locations

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Current relevant certifications (such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or industry-specific credentials preferred)

  • Valid driver's license in good standing

  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening
